Juventus Football Club (from Latin youth) founded by students of the Massimo D’Azeglio school in Turin on the1 November 1897. The third oldest sport club in Italy it has gone on to be one of the most successful clubs in not just Italy but the world. Nicknames: Bianconeri (White and Blacks- because of wearing black and white stripes on the shirts with white shorts, sometimes black shorts since 1903), Vecchia Signora previous official emblem (Old Lady).
The official emblem of the team is a black-and-white oval shield with five vertical stripes: two white stripes and three black stripes, inside which are the following elements – the name of the society in a curving section, the charging bull and the mural crown.
During its history, the club has acquired a number of titles: it has won a record 27 Serie A titles, 1 UEFA Intertoto Cup, 9 Coppa Italia, 2 UEFA Champions League, 4 Supercoppa Italiana, 1 Serie B, 1 UEFA Cup Winners’ Cup, 3 UEFA Cup, 2 UEFA Super Cup and 2 Intercontinental Cup.
Most prominent club records are Alessandro Del Piero (273) has the most goals in history of the club (more than 270); Juventus won 15-0 Italian Cup, with Cento FC on the 6 January 1927; record defeat happened on the17 November 1912 in League A with Torino FC, the score was 8-0.
The club is currently managed by Luigi Del Neri and is captained by Alessandro Del Piero.
